Mango Banana Oatmeal Smoothie

I have always loved smoothies and I have began to love them even more since I’ve been eating cleaner. Usually I mix a variety of different combinatolions of fruits and liquids or research smoothie recipes and change them up a bit. There are so many combinations that can be made and that’s the best part! Yogurt based smoothies are my favorite, I prefer the richness in texture, rather than a more liquidity consistency. In addition, to help aid my weightloss, I replace a meal either each day of a week or every other day.

My newest favorite recipe is mango, banana oatmeal. This smoothie is incredibly filling and very, VERY tasty!

WHAT YOU NEED:
1 Banana
1/4 Cup of mango (You can use half a mango or Bolthouse Farm Mango smoothie).

Bolthouse Farm Mango smoothie mix.

1/2 Cup of plain Cooked oatmeal
1 1/2 Cup of ice
Dash of cinnamon (optional)
(Blend it ALL together and ENJOY!!!)

Healthy Ice Cream in 3 Easy Steps!

This is a healthy way to trick yourself into thinking you’re having delicious ice cream! The crazy part is this taste even better!! All you need is 1-2 bananas, depending on how much you want.
1. Slice frozen bananas and place in a ziplock bag to freeze overnight
2. The next day, place frozen banana slices in a blender
3. Blend and scoop

(I added hazelnut creamer to make the consistency less thick and then added dark chocolate chips on top.)

Green Smoothie Mojo

I have always been a sucker for a good smoothie! However, when buying them while I was out and about, I found myself being very picky how they were made. I did not want my smoothie to be to watery, it had to be yogurt based, it had to be loaded with fruits and the list continues. If you think that’s being too picky, you can imagine me with food! Needless to say, I have found tons of ways to make my own smoothies since starting my eating clean journey. My best friend from college gave me this recipe and I loved it!

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bananas and Strawberries (OPTIONAL: Cut and freeze them in a ziplock bag overnight.)
  • 1 tsp of Non-fat Greek Yogurt
  • 1/4 Cup of Orange Juice or however much you want depending on how think you want you smoothie to be.
  • 1 Handful of Spinach

Blend all the ingredients together and WAH LAA!!! You have your very own green smoothie. If you decide to not freeze your fruit overnight, you can add ice cubes instead.

Healthy Cookies with 3 Easy Ingredients

For the past couple of weeks I have been eating cleaner. What is “eating cleaner” you might ask? Well its pretty simple! It’s eating healthier. By bettering my eating habits, I have been researching different food recipes and thought I would share this recipe for those that get hungry on late nights like me.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 Apple
  •  2 tsp of Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 Cup of protein 

You can mix all of these ingredients in a food processor, but if you don’t have one, don’t sweat it!

Cut your apple up into small pieces and blend in your blender until it makes an apple sauce consistency. Mix all the ingredients together, make small cookie dough balls and place them on the ungreased cookie sheet. The peanut butter makes its own oil so there is no need to grease the cookie sheet.

Bake in the oven at 350F for 15 to 20 minutes of until the cookies are slightly browned.

I added sprinkles and cinnamon before baking. (Optional)Image
